Please recommend a 2.1 speaker system please:)

OK, a week or so ago I was asking about the 5.1 systems such as the Logitech Z-680's, Creative, etc.  I'm thinking that I really don't *need* a 5.1 system because my computer is not my DVD home theater system, my theater system is!  That is where I watch movies, not on my computer.  My main reason for a excellent system is for music.  So I was talking to some peeps and they strongly suggested that a 2.1 system would be all that I really need.

Now I have been checking out the Logitech 2200's, Altec Lansing 2100's as well as the 5100's (now this is a 5.1 system however it has ALL the controls on the wired remote such as bass, treble (which is really important to me) as well as the volume and a few other goodies.  About a year ago, I had the AL 2100's, they were actually pretty darn good speakers, I had my roommates walls vibrating with them:)  I was also considering the new 2.1 system by Altec Lansing I believe it's the 6021's?  However they are not being sold in stores anywhere near where I live, they only seem to be sold at Dillards out in the mid west.  I don't know why they are not at Best Buy, Circuit City or CompUSA yet and then they are also quite $$$, 299.99 for a 2.1 system?  Thats a bit much!  I was reading some reports where the bass isn't very good with them but the sat's are excellent!

Of course, I could always just buy the Logitech Z-680's and only use the front left and right speakers along with the sub, but why do that if I'm going to pay almost 400 bucks for them?  Plus some of you guys told me these speakers were really geared more toward the movie lover on their computer, and that they were not for music.

So I would love to hear some suggestions now and or reviews from you 2.1 owners out there!

Thanks.

I have the Altec Lansing MX-5021 and they have to be the best 2.1 system on the market. Cost is from $129 to $199.

You might want to check out these Klipsch 2.1s: http://store.klipsch.com/details.asp?ProdID=26

They are kind of glitzy with the Star Wars theme but they are awesome 2.1s and a steal at $129.99.
