Geforce FX 5500

I'm thinking of buying a Geforce FX 5500 for my Dim2350 but have read it requires the power supply to be 250Watts. How can I find out what my power supply is?

Your PSU is fine for the card (it is rated at 200W, but that is mean power output).

Just make sure that it is a PCI graphics card ( Do NOT buy a PCI-Express or an AGP version). Also, try buying it from a store like Newegg.com instead of a place like BestBuy since it will be a lot cheaper.

The 200 watt power supply in MY GX110, AND GX1'S works fine with a PNY Geforce FX5500 PCI. Ive run this card in many many dells for over a year with no failure or problems. Its not a power hungry card like a 6800 ultra AGP so I would not worry about it.
Ive also used this in an Optiplex 170L without issue.
