OME Config Compliance not Updating UefiBootSeq Attribute

Hi All,

I have a group of servers that has a particular configuration compliance template associated with them, and no matter what I do I can't seem to get the inventory value to update, meaning that the servers are never in compliance with the template.

In the Template - UefiBootSeq is set as RAID.Integrated.1-1,Optical.SataEmbedded.J-1, Floppy.iDRACVirtual.1-1, Optical.iDRACVirtual.1-1

Inventory Value - UefiBootSeq is set as Optical.SataEmbedded.J-1,RAID.Integrated.1-1, Floppy.iDRACVirtual.1-1, Optical.iDRACVirtual.1-1

In the BIOS Boot settings, The boot order is definitely set to RAID, followed by CDROM and IDRAC Devices, not the inventory value.

I have also forced a refresh of the configuration inventory, tried associating the device with a different baseline and back again, deleting the device and re-discover/inventory again and none of this changes the inventoried value.

Is anyone able to assist/advise? :)

To finish this one off, the bug seems limited to the 2.50.50.50 firmware. Upgrading the firmware to 2.60.60.60 resolved the refresh issue.

Hi, thanks for the query.

Do you see any errors in configuration inventory task details when you refresh them in OME. I would suggest you to get in touch with Dell Support to have a closer look at your setup and devices.

I have been working through this with Pro Support and have now identified as a root cause that's possibly a firmware bug.

It seems that the UefiBootSeq attribute is not being updated on a cold reboot or power cycle of the server, and only updates on warm reboot. (iDRAC8 Firmware 2.50.50.50). The current "obvious" workaround right now is to warm reboot the server and then run configuration inventory again.
