I can't install open essential on Windows 2016
I just installed Windows 2016 and tried to install open essential but I can't install open essential due to below error message.
-One or more mandatory prerequisites for Essential are pending. Installation cannot continue. Run the Pre-Requisite Check for details.
How do I resolve this problem to install the open essential?
I installed Windows update and installed prerequisites.
and I got two information when I install the Open essential essential but actually there is enough space over 200GB free size.
- You will not be able to install Essentials in the volume where free disk space is less than 1GB. Please refer Essentials user guide for recommended hardware configuration.
- See Readme_essentials.txt for information on operating system updates and other pre-requisites for the proper functioning of Essentials. It is critical to apply these updates to the system. Click here to launch Essentials Release Notes

Never have I had a problem within days of someone else having the same problem AND getting an answer posted on a forum!
I was having the exact same issue today - trying to install OpenManage 2.3 on a R730 running Server 2016 and getting the message "One or more mandatory prerequisites for Essential are pending. Installation cannot continue. Run the Pre-Requisite Check for details." All the prerequisites were met, and I had rebooted twice after completing the last prerequisite install.
Based on what JUMSTEAD wrote, I ran OpenManage 2.2 install, and both ASP.NET and MS Visual Studio Runtime were flagged, so I installed them. I then exited the install, fired up the OpenManage 2.3 and get past the point where I was getting the error message.

I have the same issue on server2016 standard - failing install because of pre-req's but unable to locate what it needs.
Anyone have an answer for this dilemma ?

If you are being stopped from installing, it could be that your page file is too large, but those informationals during the "Prerequisite Check" shouldn't stop you. Think of them as "by-the-way's." After you've installed all of the Critical Prerequisites, the button at the bottom should change to "Install OpenManage Essentials" because the "Warnings" are installed as part of the process.
I've installed OME 2.2 and 2.3 on a powerEdge R720 running WS 2016 and SQL 2014. Is there any specific error that you're receiving?

Hi All,
There is a DotNet dependency with Win2K16 DC which is preventing OME 2.3 installer from proceeding further.
In Win2K16 DC, only DotNet framework 4.6 is installed by default. Installation will proceed if the remaining DotNet versions/features are installed manually from Server Manager. This includes DotNet 3.5 features (Including .Net 2.0 and 3.0) and .NET Framework 4.6/ASP .NET 4.6.
