Dell XC630-10, XC730xd-24, XC720xd-C5 - Cannot update firmwares

Hi,

I heard something about Dell no longer supporting XC series in OpenManage and that I would now have to rely on Nutanix LCM to do my updates.  I'd like to know if there is anyway around this so I can not only see my XC devices in OpenManage but continue to update the firmwares as we did in the past.

Anyone know of a workaround to this?  We have automated many of our update process and LCM doesn't allow us to simply stage the firmwares and control the reboots ourselves.  So we'd need OpenManage to do this and then we control the reboots at our convenience.

Help!?

Hello

OpenManage Enterprise is a replacement of OpenManage Essentials. OMEnt has limited or no support for some products that are supported by OME, so if you have those products in your environment then you should continue using OME.

There is also an issue of catalogs. Some devices are being dropped from the online catalog. If you have devices that are being dropped from the online catalog then you will need to use Dell EMC Repository Manager to create your own catalog. You can use that catalog to perform firmware updates with OME and OMEnt.

I think you can continue performing firmware updates on those systems with OME. If there is a change that is making that not possible then please provide details about what is changing. There are workarounds for the changes I'm aware of, that is what I provided above.

Thanks
