OpenManage Essentials isn't the recommended software offering you would want for that. I spoke with the client team and they recommended the Dell Command suite. It sounds like Command Update and Command Monitor might be the two that would be of assistance to you.

I did find another OpenManage product, OpenManage Client Instrumentation, that may allow you to tie the laptops into Essentials, like with Server Administrator. I can't confirm this or really give you much advice on the product though; I've never supported it. If the Dell Command Suite doesn't look like a good fit, you might look into OpenManage Client Instrumentation.

Hello,
Many thanks for the reply. I am currently using command update and started to use command monitor.
it seems discover and inventory does not pick up wireless/WiFi clients ? Laptops.
