Dell OME - Unclassified

2 devices now appear unclassified in OME 2.4 (upgraded to 2.5 and same issue)

One device is a Windows Server, one an ESX Server, both with iDRAC attached

Other machines of same model, same firmware and on same network segment no issues

Tried soft reboot of idrac to no avail

Ok so we have found solution: 1. The Windows Server - run a clean shutdown and power up and an iDRAC reset (twice) Then OME classified it correctly and ran a system update on iDRAC and BIOS and Net FW - all ok now 2. The esx Server - we have found the Service "CIM Server" was not started and we are having issues starting it on the host so issue here is not the Dell hardware; https://www.dell.com/support/article/uk/en/ukbsdt1/sln306586/dell-poweredge-idrac-is-not-displaying-esxi-65-system-host-name-and-operating-system-correctly?lang=en Thanks to all for suggestions

How do I raise call for this with Dell if I need to?

Hi, thanks for the query.

Discovery is done through iDRAC or in-band IP?

Please make sure the protocol connection credentials have not expired.

We have about 20 or so Servers all with the same credentials, only these 2 have this unclassified fault.

iDRac credentials are used for the esx host and for the other Windows Server we have a Windows account and idrac account both all ok on the other Servers

Can you check TLS settings on these two iDRACs and if they are matching OME system settings? Also, please run Troubleshooting tool WSMAN protocol test and let us know of results.
