Several Issues after Upgrade to 3.9.2.9 to 3.10.0.169

Hello,

i see several problems after upgrade to 3.9.2.9 to 3.10.0.169.

BuildIn Admin user now has the role "Backup Administrator", but role "Backup Administrator" did not exist for new users.

Prior to the upgrade i renamed the "Default Inventory Task", after the upgrade i now have a new "Default Inventory Task" and my renamed one. Both of them can't be deleted, with error ""CGEN1005 - Unable to complete the requested action because the logged in user is not authorized to perform this operation." Neither with role "Backup Administrator" nor with "Administrator".

I can't upload a new webserver certificate. Error: "CGEN1008 - Unable to process the request because an error occurred."

What can i do to delete the "Default Inventory Task" or the renamed one?

What is the problem with the certificate upload?

Hi, you can use the service tag of one of your devices with prosupport warranty that you use in OME.

Due to how recent the update was released I don't have a lot of details on it. If you like you can call in to the Systems Mgmt/OpenManage group, or private message me the svc tag and I can submit the issue for you.

Hi Chris,

where can i find the Service-Tag of the OpenManage Server? Or which service tag do you need for submittig the issue?

Hey adutchman, this is simple.

Nobody here was able to help me at all.

Dell-ErmanO explained to me which tag i need to open a case. So for me this case is closed here. Anyway, if i get some infos from Dell Support i will post it here.

The original poster indicated that they were having "Several Issues after Upgrade to 3.9.2.9 to 3.10.0.169"

Please explain how your reply with using a service tag is a solution to the issues described in this post.

...some news from Dell Support:

"Backup-Administrator" is unique and can't be applied twice. The account which applied the v3.10 upgrade will get automatically the "Backup-Administrator" role.

.

The "Default Inventory Task" is mandatory for OME and can't be deleted.

The certificate issue is still under investigation.
