U3423WE, three replacements, USB-C fail
Hi
I purchased this monitor in April and it was great, I loved it, it works great with MacBook Air, single USB-C and charging and hub so webcam and everything connected with a single cable. One day I plugged it in and got no USB-C Signal from your device. Called Dell and without and checking said a new one would be shipped out. Came next day and all working fine again, until 10 days later and the same happened again, another replacement and the same happened after 2 weeks. I am now on my forth monitor and they have all done the same. No USB-C Signal from your device. Dell are now refusing to replace it again and will not give me a refund. The monitor is under guarantee and does not work, any advise or help please.

Refunds are only allowed inside the first 30 days from the Dell invoice date.
* Turn the MacBook Air off
* Turn the U3423WE off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from the U3423WE
* Press and hold in the U3423WE power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect only the power cable and the provided 1M USB-C cable to the U3423WE
* Turn the MacBook Air on, lid open
* Turn the U3423WE on
* Connect the provided 1M USB-C cable to the MacBook Air

Does the monitor work when connected to another system (preferably a Windows notebook or desktop)?

Hi
No it doesn't I have tried other Macs and also a DELL laptop, neither work.
The monitor still works with HDMI but not with a USB-c signal.
Thanks,
Jim

@DELL-Chris M Thank you. I tried this after my wireless mouse failed (dongle in lower USB-A port). While testing other ports I accidentally unplugged the monitor from the USB-C display port (using Dell cable to Macbook Pro). Then the monitor went blank and would not turn on after being reconnected. After the prescribed reboot, everything worked, including the mouse. I appreciate your help on this!

@DELL-Chris M I tried to give your reply a thumbs up, but it doesn't work--maybe because I am a rookie? Well done though.
