FG3USPS "Tracking Number" Reveals No Status Or Information

I'm going to cut to the chase, even a cursory search online will reveal "FG3 USPS" tracking numbers (generous term) do not lead to any status or information. They will never update, nor do they provide any clarification.

 

I demand a working, serviceable tracking number. Also, do not throw the lie of "FPO/APO addresses cannot be tracked/we cannot give a tracking number for security reasons," as this is a falsehood and a downright lie: I actively work with OPSEC, COMSEC, and a number of other security activities within the military at my command here, and this is in no way true. As far as Dell should be concerned, I am a normal, average customer. There is no "secrecy" needed for a f*cking laptop. If it was a security concern I wouldn't be able to tell you my PO Box/address in the first place.

Company didn't give it after going back and forth for 2+ weeks. Put in a dispute/claim with my bank, after which they gave me the tracking number, but it never got accepted by USPS. Fast forward over 2.5+ months, still don't have the laptop and I don't care. They gave about not being able to provide a tracking number due to FPO/APO, security reasons, or it's simply not their policy (and they never stuck to the same story). The story gets worse, as USPS, after a formal investigation, could never find the package. Could never prove they ever received it.

Thank you for writing to us here about the order tracking & the issues that you had to face with it.

My apologies for the ordeal faced in having the issue addressed & ultimately getting the refund.

There are few restrictions on the tracking process of an APO or an FPO order.

I get it that happened with the order resulting to have a refund.

Yes... the OP is correct! Please provide the tracking number for my order as well. I cannot believe that you sell items that cost upwards of $1000.00 and then provide a bogus USPS tracking number and then provide a "trust me bro" explanation. Amazon ships to APO, AE addresses and they provide a valid USPS tracking number!

Dell is promoting theft by not providing a valid USPS tracking number! The military mail system is not as honest as Dell might think it is. I have so-called lost over $1000.00 worth of merchandise while it was moving though the MPS system. So please start providing valid USPS tracking numbers with your orders!

I’ve gone round and round with Dell on this multiple times. They need to fix this simple problem with uneducated customer service reps. The only way I’ve successfully got a tracking number is by waiting 6 weeks and telling them it’s lost (to prove a point)…then somehow they are magically able to find a tracking number so they can tell me it’s been delivered. Ridiculous.
