Dell Preferred and Dell Advantage?

Hi. I am very confused with Dell Preferred and Dell Advantage and my "regular account" login. Are these 3 separate accounts? I was just approved for a Dell Preferred card... is there a different login I need to use? If so how do I get that information to login? I tried to use my normal account login information, but it doesn't work on the Preferred login. A rep told me that the Preferred card allows me to earn gift card credit towards future purchases, but now I see that maybe isn't the case? The only way to earn credit towards future purchases is to create a separate Dell Advantage login? Is that correct? Here's a link to a chart I found...

It seems as if the Dell Advantage account is what gets you the gift card credit towards future purchases and the Dell Preferred card is nothing more than a way to charge your purchase? I can get credit for purchases made with just the Dell Advantage account? I am confused and hope that someone can help explain all of this to me. Thank you very much!
