Dell does not have part for laptop part replacement
I have a Dell Inspiron 5490, bought around 2.5 years ago in Oman (however I now live in India). My laptop's power button has failed (diagnosed by a Dell authorised service center). It's been over a month, but I'm not able to get it fixed. When I contacted Dell technical support, they say that they do not have the part, and do not say when the part will be available or how to repair my laptop. They only ask me to refer to a "local technician" but do not define who that is. Where do I obtain this part and how do I rectify this? Thanks

It depends on what's actually broken. The board and cable are available, if that's what you need.

@ejn63 by the way I just noticed that the link you sent is for 5490 AIO, which is a desktop. I have Dell Inspiron 5490 laptop
