Dell Australia after sales service, utter disappointment!

I would like to let everyone here know about Dell after sales service, which is an utter disappointment. I have recently being provided a replacement unit for my faulty monitor (manufactured November 2021), which upon receival, realised it was an refurbished unit. The stand of the monitor is all scratched and just an eye sore to look at. All the cosmetic things apart, the service tag on the unit shown that the refurbished unit is manufactured 8 months earlier (March 2021) than my faulty unit. I don't think this is acceptable as I was being replaced with an unit older than my own, and I am not being offered with any warranty extension to compensate for the 8 months difference.

I have spent more than a week communicating with the customer service team, all they sent are generic messages and apologize which do not provide any solution at all. I will be lodging a complaint with ACCC for sure on this. Just want to write this review here so people are aware of their "exceptional" after sales service.

If the stand is the issue and your original is the same model, swap it before sending back the defective monitor.

As for the rest, you'll be similarly disappointed in all other manufacturers - none replace warranty defective monitors with new ones, and none will extend your original warranty.  The industry standard practice is refurbished replacements, and the warranty is 90 days or the remainder of the original warranty, regardless of manufacturer.
