Delayed delivery?

I just want to know what is the hold up?  I do not understand purchasing a laptop and it taking over a month to receive and day before it was to be delivered getting a email saying that it will be delayed another 2 weeks. This is a machine for university. How can it take so long to receive?  Are y’all really that backed up or is the machine I chose from the listing simply vaporware?  I am tired of dealing with machines and AI. Can a human actually give insight to what is going on?
