How can I configure CSI to filled in IP address into client field in NFS export ?

Our environment didn't have DNS and there is no plan to use DNS for storage zone. When using CSI plugin with Isilon, it keep filled in Kubernetes node FQDN in client filed. I would like to know if CSI plugin 1.3 support using Kubernetes node IP address instead. If it support, how can I configure it?

Hi @moo_s09,

This was a bug which has been fixed in the latest version (v1.3.0.1) : https://github.com/dell/csi-powerscale/releases/tag/v1.3.0.1

So, you mean if I upgrade to v1.3.0.1, CSI can autogenerate client IP instead of client FQDN and fill into client field in Isilon NFS export. Am I right?

Thanks, we will try. I have one more question from my OCP team. He install isilon CSI v1.3 via Redhat Openshift Operator, how can he upgrade it to v1.3.0.1 ? If you can help, could you please suggest ?

Hi @moo_s09,

To upgrade the driver via the Operator you just need to put the new image tag (cf. https://github.com/dell/dell-csi-operator#update-csi-drivers).

You can ping me PM and we can continue the conversation directly with emails.

Rgds

I've just discuss with my team, now he can upgrade it to 1.3.0.1 and it can filled in the Kubernetes node's IP address if it cannot resolve FQDN from DNS. Now, I have a new question post in the board. If you can help, please suggest.
