Which connectrix manager to access a DS-4700M switch?
Hello,
I am new to the fibre channel topic. I started working for my professor at my university to build a little network with two DS-4700m switches and some other components for his class.
Can anyone pls tell or show me where i can read about the differences between these 2 versions (Connectrix Manager Data Center Edition and Connectrix Manager Converged Network Edition) and what the default passwords for these switches are in most cases or how i can reset them?
Sorry for the (i guess easy) questions^^ but google was no help.

You should be able to find information on Connectrix Manager Converged Network Edition (CMCNE) and Connectrix Manager Data Center Edition (CMDCE) out on the EMC Online Support pages. Try this link: https://support.emc.com/products/7885_Connectrix-B-Series-Management-Software You may need to create an account to gain access to this area if you don’t already have one.
Once there, you can select the CMCNE or CMDCE buttons to get the product Release notes and User Guides.
The DS-4700M product is very old and is no longer supported by EMC as of January 2013. Also, I believe CMCNE 12.x and greater stopped supporting this model.
