vendor specific frame type 0x65 with Cisco SPAN to Xgig Finisar/JDSU
Hi,
When creating a SPAN session on Cisco MDS to send Fiber Channel trafic to MDS ports where Xgig Finisar/JDSU device is connected, we cannot see normal FC frames, but vendor specific frame type 0x65.
If Xgig is used in intrusive mode (in the data path) it works fine, but in production environment we cannot open the data path to insert a device.
We don't have "TAP", the SPAN session is the only none intrusive solution.
Is there a way to configure MDS/Xgig to see normal FC frames?
Rem.: problem is identical with Brocade.
