portlogdumpport - FCPH reject reasons ?
Hi,
Could You please help me to solve a problem desribed below:
I have a VPLEX connected to 6510 switch and experienced the problem with single port, for which I suspect the fiber cable problem.
The Device Name of Vplex frontend adapter port disappeared from nameserver and the path is not visible by servers.
The reject events are present in portlog.
After portdisable/enable the port is able to log in to fabric and starts operating again.
Can anybody explain me the meaning of:
FCPH reject 16
from the output of portlogdumpport?
I suspect the 16 value may indicate a reject reason, which may be also related to increased value of PortErrShow counters.
The increased enc_out counter can be observed but also slight discarded c3, link fail and c3 timeouts tx values.

Explanation:
F_RJT or P_RJT - An exchange is being initiated before the interchange of Service Parameters (i.e. Login) has been performed.
F_RJT may be issued by the Fabric in order to notify an N_Port that a Login is required due to changes within the Fabric.

In this particular case, it seems that the VPLEX Frontend port, was querying the Name Server without having performed a FLOGI to the switch.
