can cisco and brocade firmware downgraded ?

hello since i have to schedule some cisco and brocade firmware upgrade customer asked me about roll back plan and in case if is possible to downgrade firmware into cisco and upgrade switches ..and if there is a limit about the steps in with we can do it , i mean 6.0.x 6.1.x etc.

if you look at Cisco NX-OS release notes there is a procedure how to roll-back the code.

don't have experience with firmware roll-back on Brocade

Brocade down grades are handled the same way the upgrade is done. That is run the firmwaredownload command and point to the version you want to go to in your FTP server. A word of warning ... there are some versions that do not support a non-disruptive downgrade and care must be taken. Read the Release notes before doing it.
