Cannot change the IPv4 management address for Dell Storage SCv3020
Hi guys!
I'm trying to change my Dell Storage SCv3020 IPv4 address to another one since I'm moving this unit from test to production. Both test and production of course has different VLANs and IP subnets for iSCSI and management. However, I'm not able to to so and was hit with a somewhat weird error.
It said that the bottom controller IP address is not within the same network as the gateway. I'm sure it's the same subnet after double, triple confirming it with subnet calculators tho 🤣🤣 If you have had this kind of issue before, please share with me any tips on fixing it. Thanks :)

Hi,
I'm unsure if this is an old article on firmware, but could you check if this instruction is valid.

The IP address range seems to be correct.

just guessing but play around with the subnet mask, it may be right with your calculations but the system might only allow certain ones.

I am having the exact same issue. @DELL-Joey C thank you for sharing that link - I had already tried that before finding this post and it does not line up with this UI. Mine looks just like the OP is showing.
Is this possibly a weird firmware version issue? I have also had it tell me that 255.255.255.0 is not a valid subnet mask, and once I got all the individual field errors to go away, pressing the OK button generates a red header in the UI that says "invalid request".
TIA to anyone that can take a look at this :)

CraigS_CN,
There is a posting here with the same issue. What I suggest is that you try the steps outlined by Origin3k from the CLI and see if that works.
Let me know if this helps.
