Backup license from SC8000 and reset

This seems like a long shot, but we are attempting to repurpose our out-of-warranty SC8000 system. We replaced this with a PowerStore SAN a couple of years ago, but are looking to use the SC8000 for a lab environment. I started the process of resetting by using these commands on the main controller:

shellaccess developerplatform init hsn set [new HSN]platform init ssn set [new SSN]cs purge all-reset

The system reset, I was able to pull up the unisphere webpage, and I started the configuration using the storage manager client. I am currently stuck at applying a license file. I have a copy of a license file for the system, but it is a pre 6.7 license and won't import on 7.5.2.8.

I haven't done any of the reset procedures on the other controller in the system. I can still login and see all of the information. Is there any way to backup the current license file to reset the entire system and start over? Or is there a way to clear the configuration on the second controller but retain the license and re-add the first controller that was reset?

Any help would be appreciated!

Abower1129,

Currently I don't see a way to do so, I say that because with the firmware being that old you would need the bridge firmware update, which you can't get out of warranty. The bridge came at version 7.x.x.x SCOS, which if you were at that firmware level then you would indeed be able to do as you are requesting, but prior to that version there isn't a way without the warranty.

Let me know if this helps.
