Inherited CX3-80...no access
Hi Everyone,
I have inherited an EMC CX3-80 (DL4100) that was installed 7 years ago at my company. We don't have the software (Disk Library Console 3.1) and can't get in to the server (SSH/Telnet/HTTP(S), etc...). Does anyone have a copy of the 3.1 console, or know of a way to reset the unit to factory defaults, or some other method we could use to gain access to it? There's over 22TB of storage just sitting there waiting to be used (it was NEVER used during the 7 years it's been here) and we could really use that storage right now.
Thanks!!

Problem solved! A co-worker found an old, old username/password in a location I missed and sure enough it got us in to Navisphere!

I'm afraid you can not reset it to factory defaults except re-imaging the vault disks. Do you have the console cable? Can you try to establish the PPP connection to its console port?
You can refer to the following threads:

Thanks for the information Roger. Unfortunately we don't have the console cable so we're ordering one. I was hoping we could do it over ethernet to the LAN service port but it wants credentials (which we don't have).
