MX7000 user accounts
I am setting up a newly acquired MX7000 that was brought over via acquisition. The root password was unknown, so we have gained access through the password reset jumper. However, there are no password fields for resetting the root account, nor can I create a new user account due to no password fields. I thought maybe it was a browser issue, but I've tried two different machines and two different browsers on each machine (combination of Chrome, Edge, and Firefox). 
No Events found!

Will resetting the MM affect the chassis IP?

Hello,
Reset a Management Module (MM) causes reboot in single MM configuration.
Reset in with dual MM will do a fail over to the other MM.
It will not affect the MM IP address.

After resetting the MMs, I can no longer access the chassis using the root account. The password reset jumpers are still in default password mode, so root should still work. I've tried from two different workstations.
