X51 R2: BOIS Update leads to boot issues
Hi,
So I just bought this computer and was downloading some recommended drivers. I noticed the one for the BOIS and downloaded it, when it opened I actually already had the driver and most recent update but I accidently hit okay instead of the cancel button. Once I did this the driver started to install but I could not move the mouse or do anything to cancel it so i just let it install.
Upon restarting the computer It always leads to a "unable to boot drive, please insert device" or something along those lines. The only way I can get windows to boot is to hit F12 and start windows boot manager and the system works fine.
I've tried;
Checking the BOIS for order of drives
Inserting the windows disc and running bootrec to fix the issue
restoring to a previous point.
It is currently in Legacy boot mode and I didn't want to touch it yet.
I can still use the machine I just wanted to get this fixed.
Thanks for any info or solutions!

Hi!
I recommend you go to the BIOS and change the Boot Mode to UEFI. If issue persists, load the default settings (press F9 when you're in the BIOS screen, then F10 for Save and Exit).
Let me know how it goes!
