R6,motherboard
Hello. I recently purchased the Alienware R6 and am wondering what the model number is for the motherboard. I am pretty sure the manufacturer is Foxconn; but, even after spending more time than I should, the model number eludes me.
Thanks!

Thanks for the information. My whole reason for requesting it was based on
utilizing Cavelier's memory finder. Perhaps a better question would be
what mhz are applicable to the Aurora system?
Thanks again,
Matthew

All Aurora motherboards are custom designed with custom Dell/Alienware BIOS installed.
Aurora R1-R4 were based on a MSI (reference) design, but then customized and built for Dell by MSI.
For Aurora R5-R6, looks like Dell/Alienware switched to Pegatron.
This is a pretty standard practice. For instance, I know HP does something similar.

The Dell Alienware Aurora R5 looks like this
R4 Board is Motherboard FPV4P 7JNH0
R3 Board is Motherboard 46MHW DF1G9
R2 Board is Motherboard RV30W
Pegatron is a division within ASUS.

Some of the best info on Aurora-R6 memory upgrades ended up in this thread:

I also suggest you download the Aurora-R6 manuals.
