Does anyone really believe Gigabit is worth it?
Fios 100 Meg is fine gigabit is over the top and the price going from $79 to over $400 a month is going to make people angry. 50 meg for example

After 12 months I lose the $10 discount and after 24 I lose the $20 & $5 discount. Also it's a $165 early termination fee but that goes down by $7.50 for every full month of service under contract. Verizon also seems to be throttling the connection to ~ 300m~350Mbps when downloading something via bittorrent.

When I'm paying a premium for GIGA I do not accept less than 33% speed as max.
300 is not 940.

Here it's TimeWarner Cable (actually, now Spectrum).
70 down/5 up (guaranteed) for around $50 per month. Actually, it's been around that cost for 15 years now.
I own my own Arris SB6183 (DOCSIS v3.0 up to 300Mbps) so no "modem rent" fees
Usually get around 75 down /6 up / 15 ping.
I pay for "Standard", but they have been upgrading plan for free over the years. Now, it's above the old "Extreme" plan. With DOCSIS v3.0, they now bind together 2-channels.
Here at location, the (local) LAN runs on Gigabit Ethernet Switch (as the core backbone). All stationary computers, printers, and devices are purposely using wires (CAT-5e and CAT-6).

Well, ok ... but that's crazy fast. A little surprising they can identify BitTorrent traffic if encrypted.
I guess it just depends on what speed is available at the PoE, how many concurrent users or streams you have going, and what high-bandwidth thing you have going-on over each ... when deciding if a certain plan fits your needs or not.
