Hello ya'll,

I'm experiencing an odd issue with this fancy gaming monitor. For some reason. The front USB port doesn't want to detect my Kensington VeriMark USB Fingerprint Key Reader. Amazon link for reference. I've tried plugging it in using the back usb port on the monitor port and those work fine. Also tried through the front usb-c with a hub that I plugged the fingerprint reader into and that works too. Also plugged in various usb flash drives and those work fine. I'm having a first world problem of, I paid a premium for this monitor and just wondering if this means its defective?

I've tried updating the firmware to the latest.
Downloaded the monitor drivers from Dell and windows update.
Even went as far as trying to manually installed the Kensington Drivers but windows didn't let me saying the best were already installed.

I also connected it directly to the desktop and it worked for a bit. Now my Aurora R15 wont recognize this device nor usb adapters like USB-A to USB-C.

It needs a USB-A port, and if it's not recognized try installing the driver manually: Manual driver.

The first thing I tried was plugging it into the USB-A ports. My original post explains that I only tried a usb-c adapter because it didn't work plugging it in directly to USB-A. I also tried the drivers already as mentioned in my original post...

Since this post, Dell replaced my monitor and now the new one doesn't even recognize the fingerprint usb dongle at all - unless I connect to a usb-c hub like this:
