AW2518HF, BurnIn cycling colors after power loss

I've got an Alienware AW2518HF monitor that I've used in my setup for a few years now. Yesterday it experienced an unexpected power loss and upon powering it back on, it went into what I believe to be a BurnIn prevention mode. It continuously cycles colors (red, blue, green, white) and the only menu that will pull up is to change inputs (does nothing).

I've tried letting it sit unplugged for several hours, various button combinations and nothing has worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd hate to have to replace it.

Thanks.

Well, scratch that. A friend of mine just noticed that the cord we used for testing was a higher power rating than the monitor required. After switching to a lower voltage cord, it powered up normally.

Glad that you resolved this. But why aren't you using the provided power cable that was in the box?

There are a couple possible reasons.

I bought the monitor off a friend of mine about 3-4 years ago and used the cable he provided. He may have supplied the wrong cable as I never thought to check it.

The other possible reason is I moved 2 years ago and the cables may have gotten mixed up during the move. Again, not thinking to double check it.
