Aurora R7, compatibility, GPU

I bought an R7 with an i7-8700k & Rx 560 on an 0VDT73 Aoo MB, i've upgraded the ram, hard drive etc, haven't touched GPU but now i feel the GPU is lacking significantly and want to change it, where would I find what GPU's would be compatible with the motherboard?

You shouldn't have any compatibility issue with a current gen RTX or prior gen GTX card on your system as long as you got the 850W PSU.  If your PC shipped with an 8700K you probably have the 850W PSU.

If you buy a secondhand GTX card, you might need to update the firmware for full compatibility with DP 1.4 and/or secureboot, depending on how old it is.  Your only real limitation is physical size.  You can cross out any 3 fan cards.  Many double fan cards will fit, but due to recirculating heat in the case, they are not really optimal considering the small form factor of the Aurora.    Most blower style cards will physically fit fine and are a good option because they blow the heat out the back of the case.

answered vast times,

NO OS stated or full PC name, wow. but w10 only runs on AMD 5000  up series and GTX7xx and up series.  ok>?

In a Nut shell 101: (generic but full)

  • runs w10 (sure Rx did, sure)
  • fits PC, slot and not hit anything inside the PC, even other PCI-e slots or DDR RAM slots.
  • not overload your PSU or X16 slot.(SFF PC many are no good for slot power)
  • not overheat PC. (it dumps huge heat inside and must be considered, (case fans cure)
  • not fail due to PC in wrong mode, legacy or Secure boot,  (luck happens)
  • the PSU on some dells, do not have GPU AUX power cables, cure is new PSU.
  • and endless users needs on port types, speed, FPS or vastly other needs complex to GPU cards,
  • Look here, for R7,  no PC really told, not fully. 10,000 hit,

last and best is what, the full bench mark chart showing them  ALL>

seen here. (no idea me what lacking means)

560 up. even $6000 cards, ever look here,  ?
