Aurora R16, AW3423DWF, SDR red tint in videos and pictures

Hi,

I'm using the aw3423dwf with the R16 in SDR in windows and only switch to HD for games, and I've noticed youtube videos getting very red (very noticeable on faces) in SDR.

It happens on all videos / players and even with pictures loaded in most picture viewers apart from Windows Photos. (so the same photo will look ok there, and red in irfanview or gimp for example).

Interestingly with youtube videos, when pausing them, and scrolling up/down while keeping the mouse away from the video window, the colors return to normal, but resuming playback or hovering on the video, will make it look red again.
This does not happen when hdr is enabled but i dont want to keep that enable when not needed (for the screen's life sake and my eyes).
Anybody has an idea of what's happening?
Cheers

It sounds like your AW3423DWF monitor is showing red colors in SDR mode. Here’s how to fix it:

  1. Check Color Profiles: Go to Windows Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings > Display adapter properties. Under the Color Management tab, make sure the right color profile is set. 🎨

  2. Update Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date. 🚀

  3. Monitor Settings: Use the monitor’s on-screen menu to reset it to factory settings. 🖥️

  4. Use HDR: If HDR mode looks correct, you might use it more often to avoid color issues. 🌟

These steps should help with the red tint problem! 😊
