XPS 13 9360 UHD 3rd display replacement, still having issues
I bought the XPS 13 9360 UHD, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, about 9 months ago. I had almost no issues until about a month ago. My display suddenly had a weird discolored border around the perimeter. I searched everywhere online and found almost nothing similar. I talked to support and they sent out a screen replacement for me to replace (my choice. I didn't want to be without a laptop for a week, or longer). I installed it, and as soon as it was up and running I noticed new issues with this one. Terrible light bleed. I know it's normal, but this was noticible on any color screen at all times. I was going to give it some time to see if maybe it would get better with use, so I waited a couple of days.
At this point, my SSD stopped being detected. I thought the drive died, so I bought a new one, installed it, and it still wasn't detected. Tried every setting in the BIOS. Nothing. I finally accepted that I had to send it in. I'm thinking the motherboard died.
So, I sent in my laptop with a note saying I was still having display issues as well as the new main issue.
Two weeks later I received my laptop, repaired. And to my surprise, they replaced the display for me as well as fixing the other issue. So, the 3rd display that's been on this laptop, and this one is just as bad as the others in its own ways.
On one side there's a permanent dark mark about 3 inches long. Mostly noticible when I'm scrolling on a white page like Google. For the first day, I thought it was a smudge of something on the screen, and I kept wiping it, but after actually cleaning the screen it's still there. Then, as I was looking at it, I noticed all across the center of the screen, there's a darker strip a couple of inches wide, again, mostly noticible on White pages when scrolling. It's hard to explain, and none of the pictures I've taken really show what I'm talking about.
Essentially, it appears as if there's no quality control where they manufacture the displays.
At this point, I don't really know what my options are. Is every display going to be like this? On a $2000 laptop? Will I have to keep sending this in? I can't go without a laptop again.

9 months old. So per Dell policy, all part replacement will be refurbished, not new.
You need to post pictures of the LCD while running the LCD BIST (Built-in Self Test).
* Turn the Dell Laptop off
* Connect the AC adapter (charger) to the laptop
* Disconnect all peripherals (monitor, USB key, USB NIC, USB HDD, etc.) from the Laptop
* Press and hold the D key and then press the power button. The LCD BIST mode should appear
* Release the power button but continue to hold the D key, until you see color bars on the LCD. The LCD will display multiple color bars and change colors on the entire screen to red, green and blue. Take and post pictures of the colored screens
* Press the Esc key to Exit

Unfortunately I have no choice other than to send it in again. Hopefully it comes back fine. Last time, there was physical damage to the metal frame. A chunk of metal missing, which they're saying wasn't caused by them.
