Outlook Express and McAfee

I am having trouble with my account info in OE, it keeps changing the incoming mail servers. The setting is (pop.earthlink.net), but if I restart the computer the setting will be changed to (127.0.0.1) an then OE can't download email. I had this kind of trouble a few years ago on a different computer and McAfee's email scan was the problem. McAfee Internet Security came on my 84.
