How to take a screen shot of computer?

How can I take a screen shot of something on my computer to post into thread?

See this. Note that after you have made the screen shot in order to display it in a post you must upload it to a Web server and reference it in your post using HTML. See "Adding a Signature" here.

Hit the "print screen" button.  This puts the image into Clipboard. Then open up Paint and hit CTRL-V to paste the image from the Clipboard into the program.  There you can save it as JPEG (it defaults BMP which makes a pretty large file) and you can use a photo program to crop, resize, or whatever.

On a standard keyboard, to the right of the 'F12' key, right above the 'Insert' key.

Hi Denny

 

There are some sites on  browser that I am unable to copy and paste as suggested,

simply it does not respond,  even using the  mouse.

I tried the similar site with my laptop and also desktop both having  inability  to copy and paste.

Is there any way out.
