How to Install My Dell

If My Dell is not installed, download from the link above and install it.

• To open the program in Windows 7 or 8, press the Windows Key  on the keyboard, type “My Dell” and click the My Dell program

Setting Up My Dell

• Upon opening My Dell for the first time you will be prompted to select the options that enable Automatic Updates

• Be sure to scroll all the way down and check the 2 boxes listed to enable Automatic Updates and Alerts. Then click OK.
  • I allow my system to receive these updates and alerts.
  • I allow Dell to collect Service Tag and other system usage data as described above.

• If My Dell is already installed, follow the steps below to verify that you have opted for Automatic Updates and Alerts.
  • Open My Dell
  • Click on the Settings Icon
  • Click on Personalization on the left
  • Ensure both options are checked
  • Click on done
