Venue 11 Pro 7130 - SSD Upgrade Problems - Transcend MTS600 - Model# TS512GMTS600
Hello,
A 22x60mm SSD with a 512GB capacity has finally come out with specs that should work in the Venue Pro 7130. I have purchased one and cloned the SSD in the Venue but when I install the new one it says "No bootable device detected".
Does anyone know if I need a driver or something to make this work? I have the SSD below.
Transcend 512 GB SATA III 6Gb/s MTS600 60 mm M.2 SSD (Up to 560MB/s read and 310MB/s write) TS512GMTS600

Thanks,

Did you ever resolve this one and get the Transcend TS512GMTS600 to work in the Venue 11 Pro 7130? I am considering the same upgrade.
What BIOS version does your Venue 11 Pro have and was there a specific tool / method you used to make a copy of your original drive on to your Transcend TS512GMTS600
Thanks

If you did a bare copy of the drive, you may have forgotten to make the destination partition active and/or create the boot partition.
Boot from an Windows USB Install Key to see if the partition can be seen (I suppose you did not activate encryption)
If yes, begin a NORMAL installation, and ABORT by typping ESCAPE at the file copy stage, do NOT end the installation process to return to the installation start page.
Launch a repair to make Windows detect and repair the boot.
The installer restarts automatically and you should be fine.

Hello. I too was wondering if this was ever resolved. Was it seen in the BIOS? Is it working? How is the speed in comparison with what was replaced. Thanks.

I have Dell Venue pro 11 7130 and i just replaced the SSD with 256 Transcend mts 600 256 GB. I cloned it and everything works fine except for the follow:
- There is a little bit of a lag sometimes
- When I turn on device encryption on from pc info, it says that device encryption is temporarily suspended and it stays forever.
Any suggestions or anyone encountered the same issue before?

For those of you who successfully did this upgrade, what tool(s) did you use to perform the drive clone? Is PartedMagic a good option?

I used Acronis True Image. It allowed me to customize the size of the partitions, so that the back-up/system partitions remained the same size, while only the OS partition got bigger.
