Diskeeper

Hello
I have just bought a new laptop and was wondering if the master boot record or the hidden partition where the backup image is can be damaged by doing a boot time defrag with diskeeper, I dont want to loose the ctrl - f11 function.

Also should i leave the laptop plugged in 24/7 to keep fully charged or should i unplug it at night.

Thanks for any replies if you want more info please ask.

We own the home edition of diskeeper and use it on our desktops and laptop also.
Never had a problem of any kind, only the fastest defrag of any made.

I have the professional edition which gives the option to do a boot time defrag and am not sure if the home edition gives that option so i was wondering if anyone has tried it with no problems.
thank you for your reply.

diskeeper 10 works with my drive running the bootup defrag cleanup.

Using the Diskeeper boot time defrag will not harm your Ctrl+F11 function.

Using any version of Diskeeper boot time defrag will not harm your Ctrl+F11 function.  You'll be okay with version 9.
