problems with lexmark z515

i recently installed windows xp pro (i had windows xp media center before) on my laptop. when i installed my printer everything went okay up until i printed a test page and my printer appeared to be printing but the page came out blank. i tried cleaning the ink cartridge heads and ive tried everything i can think of only to come up with nothing. it worked on my laptop just fine before the reinstall. any ideas? my laptop is xps m140 1.86 GHz 1 gig ram my printer is a lexmark z515
