Power Supply upgrade 24 pin to 6 pin adapter?

I have need of finding this type of adapter. Case is not an issue as i have moved my board outside oem case into a server rack i have customized. I can't seem to find any details on a 6 pin adapter to be able to upgrade my PSU and run a better graphics card. HELP!!

Something like this would fit the bill.

https://www.amazon.ca/Power-VANDESAIL-Supply-Adapter-Workstation/dp/B07C5R5PZ7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1546040657&sr=8-1&keywords=dell+24+pin+to+6+pin

EDIT: this was meant for another forum post as it obviously is not a PSU adapter reference. My apologies.

That's someone who wants to sell HP Z220/Z230 junk as dell.  This  part will likely destroy your Dell as it is being marketed fraudulently.

DELL 780 980 760 960  DOES NOT USE a 6 pin connector.

They use tiny 24 pin .

The HP Z Series uses a 24 to 6 pin and the other strange molex connector.

You should not give advice about what works unless you have used this.

For Dell models with 6-pin main power port on the motherboard, e.g. Dell OptiPlex 3040 3050 3060, you need this cable: Dell OptiPlex 3040 3050 3060 Main Power 24 Pin to 6 Pin Adapter Cable

you let the smoke out and blew up a good mobo. ok.

next time unplug the PC from the wall AC jack and push power for 10 seconds, see fans spin for 1sec.

then wait a full minute and with one hand on metal chassis (ESD protections) remove the stick with other hand.

after unlocking it fully.

then put it back and not upside down, and not indexed right, nor forced hard, after insertion fully the locks then lock

if not you failed to insert it correctly, and is KEYED to prevent wrong insertions.

I also put in my glasses, (old fossil me) and use  flashlight, and examine my work, to see if it is installed FULLY.

then apply power. and see no smoke . but you played with stick and ESD zapped it, easy to do in AC cooled homes near 0% humidity,  then it  the stick is bad or worse shorted.

buy ESD wrist strap and use it to handle parts, and no more ZAPPING,  (have SEM photo to prove this)

Anybody know if its possible to jump start one of these 6 pin power supplies and how?  I am investigating a system (Inspiron 3668) that wont turn on since getting hit with a power surge.  Normally I would test the power-supply by jumping it then test the system with a known working power-supply.

When I was unable to jump the old power supply I went ahead and ordered a new one online that claims to be and appears to be compatible but still wont power up the system nor respond to my attempts to jump it.  Now I have no way of knowing if this aftermarket power supply is DOA or if the mobo is in fact the problem.  If someone can confirm that these are jumpable and how then I can determine for certain if I have a working PSU.

Thanks!!!

P.S. Dell, how many fractions of a penny did you save by using this non-standard configuration?

I have dell inspiron 3891 and I have bought rtx 3060 and coolermaster 650w psu and I want to upgrade. My rtx 3060 fits after bending little bit of metal. My dell 3891 has atx sys which is 6pin. I want a  24pin to 6pin but in my country (india) it is not available and if I import it it will cost very much so what if I use 3rd party  24 Pin to 6 Pin Adapter Cable will it work or can it harm my pc
