Dell Optiplex 9020 RAM Upgrade
Hi,
The current ram of my Optiplex 9020 SFF I5-4590 are 2pcs 4gb 1rx8 pc3 12800u-11-13-a1. I tried to upgrade it with 2pcs of 8gb 1rx4 pc3l-12800r-11-13-c2 however it wont boot up. Anyone can help me? I can see a difference with 1rx8 and 1rx4 also 12800u and 12800r. Does it have anything to do with it? Thanks for the help in advance!

Dells are picky about memory. Some non-Dell branded work and some does not. Crucial is guaranteed to work in a Dell. Do not mix memory, only have all the same kind as mixed usually means problems.
Your model requires 1.35V memory, another compatibility issue with some memory.

Hi! Thank you for the assistance! I have researched and the way I understood it is Optiplex 9020 is not compatible w/ ECC rams.. Only non ECC. The one that I have is ECC unfortunately.
