Screen mirroring to Samsung Smart TV
I have a Dell Inspiron 3847 desktop, which now has windows 10. I also have a Samsung Smart TV, which I would like to be able to mirror to wirelessly. Everything is set up fine. The TV works great wirelessly, but I can't mirror the Inspiron 3847 to it. I have been able to mirror a Surface Pro with windows 8.1 to it. I am not sure why, since both the Surface and the Inspiron are recognized by the TV. When I go to project with the 3847 it finds the TV and then tries to connect, but on the TV display it says screen mirroring has ended. If anyone knows what the conflict might be, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the link. I had already seen that article. However it doesn't really help me. I just really am not sure if my computer is able to do the screen mirroring. Both the tv and the computer recognize each other, but it just can't quite connect. I am wondering if it is the windows 10 or is it just not compatible to mirror or cast to the tv.

Since your PC was upgraded, I would guess that it doesn't have the hardware required.
Your Surface is newer.
