Cannot connect to the internet using a DLS. No a computer person, so need HELP!

Can someome give me some help with connecting to the internet using a dsl line.  I have contacted Dell (in some way off country) with no help what so ever.  They were absolutly NO help what so ever.  I have (per the Dell Tech support people) did a systems restore and nothing worked.  I was working for about one night and nothing after that.  Everything else seems to be fine.

Please help a desperate non computer person.

Thanks

I would contact your internet provider as often a thing called the "MAC Address" of the network card has to be programmed into the DSL modem. Most internet providers have a web site that would walk you through how to do this.

Make sure your laptop is connected to ADSL modem and the link lights are lit on both the modem and the back of your laptop as well.

This would be why Dell support wasn't much help to you , as it really isn't an issue with your laptop but more your internet provider.

I agree- this isn't a Dell issue, its a problem for your ISP.
