PC HDMI/DVI/VGA out to Monitor DP/mDP/HDMI in
Monitor daisy chaining can only be done if the source PC video out port is DP, mDP, or USB-C.
PC HDMI out port to Monitor DP in port options
PC HDMI out --> HDMI to DP cable/converter --> DP to DP cable --> Monitor DP in port
PC HDMI out --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> HDMI in to DP out converter --> DP to DP cable --> Monitor DP in
PC HDMI out --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> HDMI in to DP out converter --> DP to mDP cable --> Monitor mDP in
PC HDMI out port can be used in the following manner using straight cables =
PC HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> Monitor HDMI in port
PC HDMI out port --> HDMI to VGA cable --> Monitor VGA in port
PC HDMI out port --> HDMI to DVI cable --> Monitor DVI in port
PC DVI out port cannot upconvert to a monitor DP/mDP in port via a straight cable
PC DVI out --> DVI to mDP converter --> mDP to DP cable --> Monitor DP in
