P2214H - Display port issue
Been stuggling with this over a week.
Temporarily resorted to using back VGA as the user is complaining its taking too long.
DVI works fine.
Scenariio 1 Connection:
AMD Radeon R9-280 Mini-DP ---- mDP-DP----> DP (Monitor)
Scenario 2 Connection:
Late 2008 MacBook Mini DP---- mDP (Multiple output (DP/HDMI/DVI-D) --- using DP ---> DP (monitor)
Scenario 3 Connection:
AMD Radeon R9-280 Mini-DP---- mDP (Multiple output (DP/HDMI/DVI-D) --- using DP(bundled) ---> DP (monitor)
For all I'm getting no signal/monitor goes to sleep.
Have tried the switching off the DP1.2 compliance but i'm still getting the same issue.
Appreciate some help.

We cannot speak to the untested mac. Assuming the AMD Radeon R9-280 is in a computer running Windows? This is confusing, "(Multiple output (DP/HDMI/DVI-D)". List the specific out ports on the video card itself. It sounds like you are saying that the video card has mDP out, not DP out?
* Computer AMD Radeon R9-280 mDP out --> mDP to DP cable --> P2214H DP in
* Press the P2214H Menu button
* Go to Input Source
* Check DisplayPort
* Go to Energy Settings
* Set Energy Smart to Off
* Exit the OSD

Some users mentioned having success using this cable rather than ours.

Thanks for the reply.
Apologies for the confusion as I tested the monitor on both a PC and a Mac.
Basically for the PC - yes its running windows.
The graphic card itself has got 4 outputs: 2x mDP 1x HDMI 1x DVI
I've tried the above as you stated - but the monitor still goes into power save mode (with the display port icon) - have tested with both mDP outputs.
As for the Mac, i'm using an adaptor similar to this:

Since i've been using this with my Mac via HDMI to my TV - no issues, decided to try it with my Mac using the display port output instead - but same outcome as above.
Shifted the adaptor to the PC - same outcome as well.
Appreciate your advise, have already RMA'ed the monitor once.
