Memorex USB Drive 1G

I recently reloaded Windows XP on my Inspiron 8100 Laptop.  Unfortunately, I forget to take out the Memorex USB flash drive before reinstalling Windows.  Now, when I tried to use drive, it says insert CD.  In other words, the flash drive thinks it's a removable CD drive in the D drive.  I also tried using flash drive in other computers - it won't work.  Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have quite a bit of files on zip drive.
