does n5110 support SATA 3 (6Gb) for SSD
hi , I have n5110 and I want to add intel 520 (330) SSD to my laptop , I did some search and find out that intel HM67 support's SATA 6 Gbit/s, 2 Ports & 3 Gbit/s, 4 Ports (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_chipsets). its rly good but I found some thread's in here that say n5110 just have 1 port SATA 6Gb and if I want add SSD I must say good bye to my hdd (for sata 6Gb) or optical drive(for sata 3Gb) . is it true or not ? I'm confused .

Yes, that is true - to use an SSD on a SATA 6G controller, you must replace the hard drive.
If you mount the drive in place of the optical drive, it'll be SATA 3G. There's no other place in the system to install a hard drive.

3 Gbit/s SATA 2 = 384 MByte / s
The fastest SSD drives WRITE is approx 350MByte/s
So I fail to see why 6 Gbit/s SATA 3 = 768 MByte / s is anything other than Hype.
This will change over time I suppose.:emotion-3:

Laptops do not have loose cables inside. So the answer is no.

You can replace the optical drive but will need an adapter such as the one below.
