Hi Steve,

Windows XP is an end of life operating system. Dell does not have any system with Windows XP. You may refer to the links for more information:

Hope this information helps.

You can also run XP in a virtual PC window under Windows 7 Pro or 8 Pro.

Try to find Refirb Latitude E6400 or E6500

Microcenter, Amazon, etc have these.

Dell Latitude E6400 14.1

If Desktop Then I would say.

Optiplex 760 or 780

ftp.us.dell.com/.../optiplex-780.html

If the hardware is PCI and uses 5V cards aka PCI 2.0 with 1 Keyway Then you need a Universal PCI Desktop.

That would be a PRECISION 380 or XPS 400 system.

They can be found on EBAY and from Amazon and other places.

Windows 7 PRO/Ultimate  has XP Mode which allows you to run a Virtual XP within Windows 7.

This does not however support PCI Hardware like the Precision 380 does.

You are allowed to Downgrade from WIN7 Pro to XP Pro but the vendor is not obligated to provide you with this media.

The Sky Blue XP PRO SP3 cd's work fine with the E Series Laptops.

It is NOT Piracy to use this kind of disk to Downgrade.

Thanks for responses. Yep old school - These modern OS have too much protection for the API.  1 reason XP lasted so long (and Dell supported till 2009 i think)

Virtual setup may of been a solution but not 100%.   Got an old PC here will stick to that for now.

Thanks -
