Upgraded laptop and touchpad scroll no longer works

I upgraded my Vostro 1700 laptop from Windows Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit last weekend and have been able to install updated drivers for most of my hardware without issue, but I cannot seem to locate a touchpad driver that will bring back access to the scrolling functions on the touchpad. It is a synaptics touchpad and I have tried to install a driver I got directly from Synaptics but it did not help. It was recommended that I attempt to install the Windows Vista 64-bit driver, but I have not been able to locate one. :emotion-6:
