SOLVED: High pitched noise coming from headphone port

I have a Latitude E6400 that emits a high pitched frequency when I have my headphones plugged in. Turns out that this headphone jack is right next to a USB port where I have a mouse plugged in. Unplug the mouse, noise stops. Plug the mouse in, noise returns. Move the mouse to the USB ports on the other side of the laptop? No noise whatsoever. Funny thing is, plugging in a USB flash drive into these two ports which are close to the headphone jack seems to have no effect on the sound coming back. It's only the Dell mouse. Haven't tested other mice or other USB devices besides my mouse and flash drive, but that's what worked for me.

Plug your USB mouse into the USB ports that are farthest away from the headphone jack.

Personally, I had a duel monitor fed through a USB port. Moving the USB did not resolve the problem so I ended up just removing it all together which resolved the problem.
