Regedit blocked by Norton?

Question

Anybody out there know why, since I installed Norton Systemworks, I can no longer access Regedit in the 'run' column on the Start menu? Tried many times, but no can do.  There must be some way to work around this?  Thanx - LR

Thanx for the reply? Do you mean just disable the auto-protect? Or do I disable the whole program in some other way?  Not sure, and am not a computer 'genius,' so please be pathetically basic (grin) in your explanation!  LR

Thanx!  Guess that's 'basic' enough!  Nope - tried it, and still get a giant black hole when I try to run regedit in the 'run' line in Start.  More help, maybe? Please?  LR

sure, lol, i'd try disabling just auto-protect first and see if that does the trick.

Why not disable it when you need to edit the registry?
