Question about cost to repair hinge and casing in Dell Inspirion E1505 laptop.

I know which parts I need to get to repace broken hinges in my laptop which is causing the casing to crack and the cost of it ($34.95).

I am weary of doing this repair myself and what I was wondering is if anyone has any idea or estimates it would cost me to take my laptop to a repair shop so they can replace the hinge and casing.

How much more will it cost me and what would you do in a situation like this?

If it was my own laptop, and out of warranty, I would do this myself. So long as you apply some common sense and can be patient / careful, you shouldn't run into any problems.

If you found a local shop I imagine you would be looking at £30-50 for them to do the repair. Only disadvantage with repairs such as this is they are quite time consuming so if you use a place that charges by the hour it could be quite costly.
